Our Voice in The Region and Beyond

One of the most important and valued responsibilities of our Executive members is to represent Inuit Youth interests, concerns and desires by attending and actively participating in various meetings.

The members align invitations with the Council’s priorities targeting mental health, education, culture and community engagement.


Our QYC President is seating on different committees with Makivvik Corporation (Board of Director, Annual General Meeting, Parnasimautilirijiit), Isuarsivik (Annual General Meeting), Avataq (Language Committee Avataq) and Société du Plan Nord (Forum Science environnement (FSE).


Our Vice-President is seating on different organization as well, such as the Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (National Inuit Youth Council Member), Nunavik Youth House Association as Board member.



Our Secretary-Treasurer seat on four organizations, such as Kativik Regional Government (Kativik Regional Employment and Training Committee), Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (Psychoactive Substance Use Committee), Kativik Ilisarniliriniq under the Nunavik Post-Secondary Advisory Board and Nunavik Investment Corporation as Board of Director.


Hudson Strait Representative

Our Hudson Strait Board of Directors are also seating on Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (Student Services Nunavik Sivunitsavut) and Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services for Regional Advisory Committee on Youth Services (RACYS).

Ungava Representative

Our Ungava Representatives are seating on Nunalituqait Ikajuqatigiittut as Board of Directors, Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (Qanuilirpita – Steering Committee) and Aaqsiiq as board member.
